At one time, these cages were once untarnished by doubt and time. They believed that within themselves they would find truth unlocked and waiting. If only their keys could be found.
And it was during this time of uncertainty, in their locked state if you will, did they carry on with such a gleeful look and longing. For you see, with uncertainty there was room for possibilities.
Sad to say that in their haze of daydreaming they stumbled upon these keys ( Never mind that stumbling usually requires feet). One can imagine the anticipation built up upon opening their locks. And also their horror when finding ..well..absolutely nothing.
Or at least, that is what one would expect. Instead they looked to each other and simply sighed. Perhaps a part of them already knew.
"Well" one said, "at least we know. Shall we have tea?" " I suppose", sighed the other. But as she looked down she realized how cracked their cups were. They couldnt possibly hold any tea . "Our cups. she said still looking at them, they are as useless as we are." "Nonsense, logic doesnt apply to tea." She felt very sure of herself when saying this. Didnt the other realize that their cups have always been so? "Logic applies to everything!" "Then you may have logic, and I shall have tea."
Well, I like the drawing by itself, but the prose with it is really nice. Beautiful, tragic, dramatic, but self-aware and funny. The bottoms of the teapot and saucers look a little flat perspectively speaking (compared with the bottoms of the cages), but no big deal. I like the bunny with the spiked collar (grrr!!!)!
this is wonderful. I love the "logic" part, and the kettleclock. I feel like color it, if you give me your permission of course...is one of your bunny wearing a bra???
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
